Many expect that a government led by the BJP would resort to a more draconian diet on the control of administration, land, and other resources in the north region, relegating the local people to the periphery.

The NVF, NC, and PDP parties have all taken a strong stance against the BJP’s policies in Kashmir. Embarking on a campaign for everyone to join hands to thwart the central government’s attempts at empire-building. The BJP’s strategy of expanding self-rule has found favor with some of the concerned voters who do not agree with the BJP’s stance towards them and view the election as a chance to restore some political power.
